When chocolate travels during a warm week, the most useful question is not “can chocolate melt?”—it can. The question is how to reduce unnecessary heat exposure between checkout and the moment you open the parcel. Here is what our optional Melting Protection covers and what you can do after delivery.
What is Melting Protection?
On the Tabs Europe product page, Melting Protection is an optional €4.99 addition to an order. It is described as extra insulation and cooling packs. It is separate from FedEx shipping and from the chocolate box price. You can choose it while selecting one, two or three boxes, or add it from the cart when offered. Check your cart summary to confirm whether it has been included.
Does it guarantee a cool parcel?
No packaging can control every hour a parcel spends in a hot vehicle, at a depot or outside a door. The extra materials are intended to help during transit, but they are not a promise that chocolate will never soften. Carrier timing, local weather and prompt collection after delivery still matter.
How can you reduce heat exposure?
- Choose a delivery address where someone can receive the parcel promptly.
- Watch the tracking information instead of leaving the package outside.
- If an expedited service is available and useful for your address, compare it with standard delivery at checkout.
- Bring the parcel indoors soon after arrival and follow the storage directions on the chocolate package.
What if the chocolate arrives warm?
Do not rely on appearance alone to decide whether a food is suitable to use. Check the package, best-before information and any handling instructions. If the order arrives damaged or you have a quality concern, contact info@tabseurope.com with your order number and clear photos of the packaging. Our team can review the issue and explain the options under the returns policy.
Plan the order, not only the date night
For a gift or a planned occasion, leave time for delivery and avoid ordering to an unattended address during extreme heat. The current Tabs Europe product page shows the optional Melting Protection choice. Available FedEx methods and the final total are shown at checkout.
